The global economy is at a critical juncture, driven by dual imperatives: transitioning toward sustainability and harnessing the transformative power of technology. As the BRICS+ nations Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa represent nearly 50% of the world’s population and a significant share of global GDP, their collective action is pivotal in addressing these challenges. The BRICS SC Conference 2025 (BRICS-SC 2025) will serve as a platform for advancing innovative and collaborative solutions in pursuit of a resilient and inclusive future.

Set to take place in November 2025, before the commence of the G20 summit under the theme “Advancing Resilient and Inclusive Development: BRICS in the Green, Blue and Digital Era,” the conference will bring together policymakers, researchers, industry leaders, and civil society actors. Its focus is on integrating four core areas: Green and Blue Economy, Digitalisation, 21st-Century Skills Development, and Sustainable Infrastructure Development. These pillars align with the global 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the priorities of BRICS nations in fostering economic growth, social equity, and environmental sustainability.
Through a combination of keynote addresses, panel discussions, technical workshops, and youth-focused activities, the conference aims to:

  • Promote knowledge-sharing and innovation across BRICS nations.
  • Strengthen partnerships for sustainable and inclusive development.
  • Enhance capacity-building efforts, particularly for emerging economies and marginalised communities.

BRICS-SC 2025 will emphasize actionable outcomes, creating a roadmap for addressing shared challenges while harnessing opportunities for collective growth. By linking the green agenda with digital transformation, fostering global skills, and enabling sustainable infrastructure, the conference aspires to position BRICS as a global leader in shaping a prosperous future for all.
